CELEBRATION OF TIBET
Imagine the universe...
...one grain of sand at a time!
Please join us from December 2nd to 16th as Lama Deshek constructs a Tibetan Sand Mandala at our center. It will be free and open to the public, so please come!! Click here for directions to Losel Maitri. The schedule will be:
Monday - Friday, 2:00-7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday, 12:00-5:00 PM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOUR HOLINESS!!
Friday, July 6th, is His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday!! We will be celebrating at 7pm with a dessert pot luck. Please join us by sharing your best dessert!!
Our regular schedule has resumed, and we invite everyone to attend. Thanks!

Lama Deshek is currently in Wisconsin for His Holiness's teaching, so instead of regular book study and services on Tuesday May 1, we will be watching the video Vajra Sky. There will be no practice on Sunday May 6th. We wish Lama Deshek safe travels!
The regular schedule will resume on Tuesday, May 8th.

We have returned to our regular weekly schedule, and invite everyone to attend book study and weekly services.
The new book that we will be studying is Illuminating the Path to Enlightenment, by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It is available from Thubten Dhargye Ling, and is a free publication (when ordering, you only have to pay for shipping). We hope that everyone comes to study this amazing text with us!

While Lama Deshek is in Switzerland for the next two weeks, we will be watching movies on Tuesdays, instead of Book study and Prayer Services. We will watch "Seven Years in Tibet" on Tuesday, August 1st, and then "Windhorse" on Tuesday, August 8th.
Sunday Sadhana is cancelled. We will start Book Study and Prayer Services when Lama Deshek returns, on Tuesday, August 15th.
We all wish Lama Deshek safe travels, and hope everyone will join us for Movie Nights!

New photographs from the recent Ten Days of Tibet celebration, and the Pot Luck dinner held for Losar (Tibetan New Year) are now up on the Photos page.
Both events went very well, and we would like thank the McWane Center in particular for hosting the Chenresig sand mandala as constructed by Ven. Tenzin Deshek. Thank you!

TASHI DELEK!!
Lama Deshek and several of our members have recently returned from the Kalachakra Empowerment held in Amaravati, India in early January 2006. They have brought many good stories and warm smiles back with them, and Losel Maitri is happy for their return! Please stay a minute and look at the photos they took.
The teaching calendar and Sunday's regular sadhana is now back on the normal schedule. We will be updating the Schedule section soon with upcoming events, including a Losar celebration at the end of February and Ten Days of Tibet in the future.
We hope to see everyone soon at the center!
