SPECIAL EVENTS: February 3, 2010 Losar Celebration Planned for Sunday, February 14Happy New Year! We are going to celebrate the Tibetan New Year (2137) on Sunday, February 14th with a Potluck meal! Please come to the center at 1pm and bring your favorite vegetarian dish. This is a particularly auspicious occasion this year, as the Tibetan, Mongolian and Chinese New Year all fall on the same day. REGULAR SCHEDULE: TUESDAY: Worship Services and Discussions are led by our Resident Teacher, Ven. Tenzin Deshek, each week at 3118-116 Bellwood Drive Weekly Worship Services begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evenings. The Discussion Group meets at 6:00 pm before the Worship Service. The discussion centers around a book that we collectively read, and is designed for anyone interested in talking about Buddhism thought and practice. Click here for information on our Director, Lama Deshek. SUNDAY: Introduction to Buddhism Class, 1pm Led by Nick T and Clare Clifford, this is a focused discussion group on the basics of Buddhism. Using Thubten Chodron's text, Buddhism for Beginners, this class is designed to introduce everyone to the fundamentals of Buddhism. SADHANA PRACTICE, 2pm Directly following the class, our Resident Teacher Lama Deshek, will lead us in a sadhana practice.
